The Friends of the Down cemetery were joined by Captain (Rtd) Roy Zaman and Air Vice Marshall (Rtd) Martin Clark on behalf of the Royal British Legion, together with other Legion members, to place poppy crosses on the war graves of those buried at the cemetery

Wiltshire Armed Forces Weekend 30/06/2018
The weekend of the 30th June and the 1st of July saw the annual Wiltshire Armed forces event held in the Wiltshire county town of Trowbridge honour the armed forces past, present and future. with an array of vintage and modern military vehicles and armaments on display. A battle re-enactment, sets depicting a scene from world war 2 and a full trench scene from world war 1.

Ron Harding, from North Bradley, Wiltshire, was a classic village film maker. He used to give shows of his films locally. He was also a great long distance cyclist into his 80s, until he was knocked down by a car and killed.He covered a great deal of subjects and events, including capturing Trowbridge Carnival between 1949 and 1953.
